This does not necessarily mean that usable signals are available in that
location.
Signals are much weaker than those found on the North American mainland.
In general terms, 119 has
better signals than 110 throughout the region, and 101 has wide variations in
the received signal strength of various transponders. 91 and ECHOSTAR 3
(at 61.5) compare favorably with coverage of 119. 82 coverage is limited to extreme northern and western areas of the
Caribbean. Reliable information on RAINBOW 1 (at 61.5) coverage is not
available, but thought to be quite limited outside of the continental U.S.
The most accurate information can be obtained by inquiring locally, and
comparing equipment successfully used in existing installations.
Size and efficiency of antennas plus the competence and test equipment available
to local technicians will determine your ultimate results. Global
Communications has a wide range of antennas and LNBFs available for sale, and
can make general recommendations based upon competent installation. We do
not sell subscription receivers for any of the above services, but do offer
MPEG-2 free-to-air devices, which can be used for a limited number of channels,
and to monitor overall signal strength.
